I had originally planned to do 6 books, Monday-Saturday, even though last year I only did 5. I had a hard time narrowing it down to only 5 books, for that matter I had a hard time narrowing it down to only 6. I am already starting a list for next year. When I planned this year I didn't realize until it got closer that I had planned it for the same week one of my kids was having surgery. I tried to have as much as possible finished and scheduled ahead of time so I didn't have to worry about it while we were in the hospital and even at home when I was trying to focus on taking care of him. I didn't quite get everything done ahead that I had hoped, so with as busy as this week has been at home I just decided to cut one of the projects and stick with 5 like last year. Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00726449678145626266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2617736802913245633.post-23670387083677555402024-02-29T19:40:00.003-07:002024-02-29T19:46:39.635-07:00Riswyk Hat
-This post may contain affiliate links. I chose that time to coincide with Read Across America Week and Dr. Suess's Birthday when a lot of schools around the country are doing read-a-thons and other reading based activities. I enjoyed it so much I decided to make it an annual thing, which means it is time for the second annual Book Inspired Craft Week!Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00726449678145626266noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2617736802913245633.post-1762874138907303762024-02-24T19:53:00.002-07:002024-02-24T19:53:56.959-07:00Embroidered Tea Towel
-This post may contain affiliate links. As a result this may look like kind of a weird project to be sharing on Valentine's Day, because it looks like a Valentine's project so it is a little late to be sharing. However, although I made mine with Valentine fabric it isn't really a holiday specific project and you could make it in any color scheme, for any holiday, to match your kitchen or whatever room you are using it in, or just using a charm pack that you like the colors of. Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00726449678145626266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2617736802913245633.post-76937799767422082972024-02-13T15:59:00.003-07:002024-02-13T15:59:49.272-07:00Mossy Blocks Scarf
-This post may contain affiliate links. A few months ago I had picked up the new Red Heart Super Saver Speckles in 5 different colors with the plan to make hats with it. It took me a while to decided on a stitch pattern that I wanted to use because I knew with the speckled yarn the hats would be pretty busy so I needed to keep it simple. It is similar to working with variegated yarn, not every stitch works well with busy yarn. But I also wanted some texture so I played around with a few different stitches before finally deciding on one. Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00726449678145626266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2617736802913245633.post-57553307408401748262024-01-18T12:54:00.004-07:002024-01-18T12:54:21.853-07:00Fabric Strip Valentine Garland
-This post may contain affiliate links. So then the next year it was on my idea list, but once again I got busy with other stuff and ran out of time to get it done. This year when I was planning out stuff that I wanted to make I was determined to get this one done so I made sure it was one of the first Valentine projects I made. And honestly, it was so quick to make I have no idea why it took me this long. Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00726449678145626266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2617736802913245633.post-43167736974976212432024-01-03T22:56:00.006-07:002024-01-04T10:00:53.416-07:00Vinyl Character Water Bottle Decals
-This post may contain affiliate links-

My family is planning a trip to Disneyland this month so we are busily trying to start getting things ready for the trip. This trip has been kind of crazy for me because the last time we went to Disneyland, about 4 years ago, we planned the trip way in advance and I made lots of Disney themed projects in preparation for the trip. We had several different t-shirts, the kids had drawstring backpacks and travel pillows that I made, and probably some other stuff that I am forgetting. This one was planned with a lot less time to prepare and it is coming just a couple weeks after Christmas which means up until just over a week ago that was my focus and now that I have time to think about the trip I don't really have time to make a bunch of stuff. Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00726449678145626266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2617736802913245633.post-38664542976900858822023-12-28T16:51:00.000-07:002023-12-28T16:51:04.499-07:00Top 20 Posts of 2023

At the end of each year I like to look back at the top posts of the year, to see what did well, and also to look back and remember the things I have made throughout the year. I started out doing the top whatever the last 2 numbers in the year, like the top 16 of 2016, but I decided to cap it at 20. So the past few years, since 2020, I have done a top 20. These are my most popular posts that were new posts shared this year, so if an old post from a few years ago does really well that is awesome, but it is not included in this list. Also, I only included actual project/pattern posts so things like crochet along announcement/landing pages are not included in the list. Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00726449678145626266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2617736802913245633.post-76212675191961124212023-12-13T14:25:00.001-07:002023-12-13T14:26:34.955-07:00Heart Potholders
-This post may contain affiliate links. I know I say this every time I do share a dishcloth pattern, but they are such a great way to try new stitches and play around with the different textures you can create with crochet. Plus, they are an easy way to add a little something handmade to a gift. Pair a dishcloth with some kitchen items, a cute dish, some kitchen utensils, etc. Or use it as a washcloth and pair it with some body care items, nice smelling soap or lotion, or something similar. Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00726449678145626266noreply@blogger.com0
