5 Little Monsters: Cricut Draw and Cut Floral Bookmarks

Cricut Draw and Cut Floral Bookmarks

One of my goals this year is to read more. I love reading and as a kid I read all the time. As an adult I have found it harder to make time to read because I feel like I always have a million other things I should be doing. Of course, I also find myself wasting time on my phone a lot so I am trying to spend less time mindlessly scrolling through social media and more time reading books instead.

I chose a book to start reading but the first night I started I found myself scrambling to find a scrap of paper for a bookmark. I needed to make myself some new bookmarks.

I decided I wanted to make something that had a floral design and I thought it would be a good opportunity to use the draw feature on my Cricut.

I searched in Design Space for a floral drawing and I came across these flower tattoo designs. They were a little different but I thought the contrast between the floral designs and the straight lines and geometric shapes was kind of cool. And some of them were kind of long and skinny so they fit the shape of the bookmarks.

I used a gold glitter gel pen on white cardstock for the drawing, and I added some blue-green (blue sage) cardstock behind to add a little color. They were really quick and easy to make and my Cricut did all of the hard work.
