My family and I are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and in our church, for those who are not familiar, children are baptized at 8 years old. One of my girls is turning 8 next month and is excitedly preparing for her baptism.

Crocheted Clovers Video Tutorial

Several years ago when my blog was still pretty new I shared a pattern to make these super easy 3 or 4 leaf clovers. They only take a few minutes and a tiny amount of yarn to make and are fun embellishments for St. Patrick’s Day. Add them to hair clips, pins, home decor, and more.

Faux Etched Jars with Frosted Vinyl

I have had this project on my mind for a long time, pretty much from the first time I saw that Cricut had a frosted vinyl option. I thought it would be the perfect thing to use on glass items for an easy faux etched glass look.

Aurora Hat

Earlier this year I shared a new scarf pattern, the Aurora Scarf, made with Red Heart Unforgettable yarn. I really loved the way it turned out and wanted to try to design a matching, or at least coordinating, hat pattern. The only problem is that even though Unforgettable is a very pretty yarn, it is not my favorite for making hats.

Easy Valentine Treats and Tags

My 12 year old daughter was asked to teach a zoom class to some other girls her age teaching them how to make a treat of some kind. With Valentine's Day coming up she wanted to make a Valentine's treat. She ended up coming up with the idea of dipping Rice Krispie Treats in chocolate and decorating them with pink and red sprinkles. They turned out pretty cute and I thought they would be a fun little treat to give to friends so I thought I would make some easy little tags and share how we made them.

Today I am joining some other craft bloggers to share some last minute Valentine projects over the next couple of days, and a fun giveaway. When I was thinking of something I could make for a quick and easy Valentine project that you be made last minute I decided to turn to my kids favorite craft, Perler Beads. Fun for any age and they definitely fit the quick and easy requirement, although once we get them out my kids can spend hours playing and creating with them.

Which Cricut Machine is Right for You?

I love using my Cricut to make lots of different kinds of projects, it is one of my favorite things in my craft room. There is so much you can do with a Cricut machine, and one of the most common questions I get asked by crafters looking at getting a Cricut is, how do I know which machine to get?

Corner to Corner Heart Square

With Valentines Day just around the corner I have had heart projects on my mind. A couple of years ago I made a large corner to corner heart design, and by large I mean it was baby blanket size, so not huge but the heart filled the entire blanket. This year as I was thinking of heart themed projects to make I thought about how versatile a small c2c heart square could be and decided to make one.
