May is always such a crazy month. It is the end of the school year so there are always lots of activities, banquets, award ceremonies, performances, etc. Then you throw on top of that the fact that kids, at least in our district, have state and end of the year testing going on, and plans are being made for summer. It just gets crazy busy.

My kids are always asking to paint stuff. It is one of their favorite crafty things to do. I typically have a little stash of stuff that can be painted in my craft supplies, unfinished wood stuff, canvases, etc., and they love looking through it to find stuff they can paint.

The beginning of a new month means time for a Team Creative Crafts Collaboration, and this month the theme is Handmade Gift Wrap. It is always kind of fun to have a specific theme that I am challenged to come up with a project for.

St. Patrick's Day Printable Treat Tags

I don't typically do a lot for St. Patrick's day beyond wearing green, but I thought it would be fun to make some little treat bags. There are lots of candies that I thought would be fun little treats for St. Patrick's Day, really you could use anything green, rainbow, or gold.

Hot Chocolate Gift Basket

Earlier this year when I got the Cricut Mug Press one of my first thoughts was how great it would be for Christmas time. It makes it so quick and easy to make fun personalized mugs that could be paired with something warm to drink, which for my family usually means hot chocolate.

Infusible Ink Mugs with Children's Artwork

When I got my Cricut Mug Press one of the first things that I thought of doing was using it to let my kids make mugs to give to people with their drawings on them. With Infusible Ink Pens and markers it is so easy for them to draw pictures that can then be transferred onto a mug for a fun personalized design.

Easy Valentine Treats and Tags

My 12 year old daughter was asked to teach a zoom class to some other girls her age teaching them how to make a treat of some kind. With Valentine's Day coming up she wanted to make a Valentine's treat. She ended up coming up with the idea of dipping Rice Krispie Treats in chocolate and decorating them with pink and red sprinkles. They turned out pretty cute and I thought they would be a fun little treat to give to friends so I thought I would make some easy little tags and share how we made them.

Happy Birthday Coupon Book with New Cricut Tools

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.

Cricut recently came out with 4 new tools for the Cricut Maker and I just got them a few days ago and had the opportunity to try them out. All 4 tools are part of the adaptive tool set that works only with the Cricut Maker. There is the Basic Perforation Blade, the Wavy Blade, the Fine Debossing Tip, and the Engraving Tip.

Fat Quarter Doll Quilt

Today I am participating a year long sew along with 11 other bloggers. This is actually my second project as part of this sew along, my first was a simple scrunchies tutorial that I shared earlier this year. You can find all of the details for the sew along on Underground Crafter. Basically every other week one of us will be sharing a small sewing project, a "little gift" idea. It will be something that takes 1-4 fat quarters, or less than 1 yard of fabric to make. They will all work as stocking stuffers, or for any other time you need a small gift. The idea is that by the end of the year you will have lots of little gift ideas perfect for Christmas stockings, or just building up a stash of gifts.

Christmas Buckets

One of the great things about starting to prepare for Christmas in July is finding great deals on Summer things that work for Christmas too. Lots of stores have things like metal buckets, trays, and lanterns meant for summer get-togethers and holidays, but they work great for Christmas too.

DIY Ring Dish for Mom

-This post may contain affiliate links, some supplies used in this post provided by Plaid Crafts and Cricut, all ideas and opinions are my own-

I am super late getting this post up since Mother's Day is tomorrow, but it is a really quick project so maybe you still have time. Or you can use it for other gifting occasions or save it for next year. I found an inexpensive little wooden tray at Michaels, I think it was only $1, and I thought it would be perfect for a little ring/coin/jewelry dish to set on your nightstand. I thought it would be fun for a little handmade Mother's Day gift, although you could leave off the vinyl saying or change it to make it work for anyone.

Easy Flannel Pocket Hand Warmers

It has been pretty cold this past week. I mean, it was the last week of December so that isn't really surprising. We didn't really have a white Christmas but that night it started snowing and continued off and on for the rest of the week.
