12 Unicorn Crafts

Having posted a few new unicorn themed crochet patterns over the past few weeks I thought it would be fun to do a quick unicorn craft roundup and put all of the unicorn crafts I have made in one place. And since I have a unicorn obsessed daughter I have quite a few.

After I made a mermaid purse to go along with my mermaid pencil bag I decided I also needed to make a unicorn purse to go along my unicorn pencil bag. I made the mermaid version to match pretty closely with the pencil bag, but this time I kind of changed things up a little more. However, you could make them match more if you want.

I have made several crocheted pencil bags over the years that I have had this blog and I have been wanting to make a unicorn version for a couple of years now. I decided that this year was the year it was going to happen and I finally got it done.

I have a little girl who is obsessed with Unicorns, and I think just about every little girl in her class at school is just as obsessed as she is. When I saw Unicorn Magic Snack Pack Pudding Cups at Walmart I knew she would love them as a treat. They will be especially fun with school starting soon for an after school snack. And to go along with the special unicorn puddings I made her a cute unicorn headband to wear.

Unicorn and Rainbow Easter Egg Covers

A few years ago, when I had just started my blog, I shared a pattern for some Easter egg covers. I crocheted little egg shaped covers that could slip over a regular size plastic Easter egg and decorated them to look like a bunny, a chick, and a lamb. They were really quick an easy to make and looked so cute in an Easter basket, way cuter than a plain old plastic egg. Every year when Easter comes around I think about making a new version of those egg covers and this year I finally did it. I decided that since just about every little girl I know loves unicorns right now, it would be fun to make a unicorn themed set.

It is always fun to look back at the end of the year to see which posts were the most popular. I like to look back at  all of the things that I have made throughout the year and to see if my favorite projects were your favorites as well. Crocheted Unicorn Ornament

I just posted a couple of new ornaments on the Fairfield World site. One of them was this unicorn ornament. I have seen a ton of unicorn ornaments going around on Facebook that are made with glass balls and a clay horn. A couple months ago I shared a pattern for a Unicorn hat that was pretty popular. I thought I could use the same idea to make a crocheted version of the glass ornaments I had been seeing all over. This little ornament is the result of that idea.

My middle daughter loves unicorns, she has for quite a while and I have done a few projects in the past that are unicorn themed for her. For Halloween she decided that she wanted to be a unicorn. I wanted to make her costume. I have seen hats and headbands and I decided that I wanted to go the hat route because I thought with a hat she would be able to use it throughout the rest of the winter as a winter hat, where a headband would would be good for Halloween but that is about it.
