February and March have been super busy months for me personally, lots of family stuff going on including a lot of medical stuff, and because my focus has needed to be taking care of those things I feel like I have not gotten as many Easter projects up as I planned. It doesn't help that Easter is on the earlier end of where it can fall this year. So here we are a week and a half before Easter and I have a few more projects done that I want to squeeze in before Easter.

Over the past few months I have been making some table runners in different colors, for different seasons and holidays. It started when I made a reversible fall/halloween table runner and then decided that I would like to have some more to decorate my table throughout the year.

I have not always been a huge holiday decorator. We always decorate a lot for for Christmas, and some for fall/Halloween, but I haven't always done much for other holidays like Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. Then at the beginning of this year I was working on some Valentine projects and I decided I wanted to get and/or make some stuff to decorate my mantle because I wanted to be able to stage some pictures of the projects I was working on.

I was looking for some simple Valentine's Day decor that I could use to decorate my mantle and also use as a photo prop for the Movie Quote Valentine Signs I shared yesterday. I found a felt ball garland at the store that I purchased, but when I hung it up I thought it would be fun to have a couple of garlands hanging together.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner. It always feels like November just flies by. It seems like Halloween was just yesterday and now we are halfway through November. It doesn't help that Thanksgiving is pretty early this year. I thought it would fun to share a super quick project that you could make for Thanksgiving, but it would work for any other time too.

Lately I have been working on some sewing projects and I have discovered a love of precuts. I never used to use them, I think it felt like I was getting so little fabric when it was cut into 5" squares, or 10" squares, or strips, or whatever. But it sure is convenient to have all of that cutting done for you, and you get a variety of coordinating fabrics since it is typically a whole line. It is such a great way to get the fabric you need for a project like this one made entirely of charm squares (plus the binding fabric).

I love fall, it is my favorite season. I love the colors of the season, the cooler temperatures, the leaves, the holidays, all of it. There is just something magical about fall. School has started up and even though it is still technically summer for a while and the temperatures still feel like summer, I am ready to start thinking about fall.

The past month or so life has just seemed super crazy and busy. I think that is the case in May for everyone who has kids in school, with all of the end of the year activities, field trips, concerts,  assemblies, performances, not to mention the testing that has kids extra stressed out and on edge. I feel like everything has seemed extra chaotic and crazy and it has made me realize how much I needed to get myself better organized before all of the kids were home for summer.

This week fall will officially be here, and I am so happy about it. I have been loving the fact that temperatures have been cooling off a little bit and it has been starting to look and feel more and more like fall. However, in my craft room it has been fall for a while. I have been making lots of fall craft projects lately, and todays project is a continuation of that, although it could easily be adapted to work for any season or holiday, just change up the colors.

I have a wooden sign that I bought several months ago without a specific project in mind. I had a few ideas but never ended up making any of them, so I ended up just having a blank wooden sign sitting around. I figured with a new season  just around the corner I would finally use that board.

Adding a little paint and vinyl to a piece of wood is an easy way to make a quick decoration for any season or holiday. I wanted to make some summer decorations that weren't specifically 4th of July, since that is the main summer holiday that we decorate for, I wanted something more just summery. So I pulled out my Cricut, some vinyl, and paints.

A while ago I saw someone share, on Instagram I think, some things that they found at Target in the  Bullseye Playground section. One of the things that they had shared was a little 3 pack of bud vases and when I saw them I thought they would be perfect for a little craft project. I know it is barely September but I am definitely feeling ready for fall. I think once the kids go back to school I am ready to make the switch from summer to fall, and even more once September hits. Part of that is wanting to start working on fall and Halloween projects.

I have had this little house shaped block sitting in my craft supplies for months after I picked it up at Michaels. It is actually supposed to be a birdhouse but I thought it would be cute with "Home Sweet Home" or some other home themed saying on it. I brought it home and set it in my wood shapes bin and kind of forgot about it.

For Christmas we put together a little craft area for our oldest daughter. She loves making things and spending time in my craft room playing with all of my supplies. A month or two ago I shared part of the gift we put together for her. We put together a beginner craft kit with lots of supplies so that she could make pretty much anything she wanted without needing to get into my stuff.

This year got a new Christmas tree and set it up early.
