I can hardly believe that it is almost time for school to start again, I have even seen some people saying school has already started for them. My kids go back in a couple of weeks. As a result the last few weeks have included some back to school prep, registration, back to school shopping, school supplies, and all of that stuff.

I love international sporting events, like I never really pay attention to soccer but I love following the World Cup or the Copa America and Euro Cup type tournaments. Not to the point where I actually watch the games, but I like to follow along with how each country is doing. And the Olympics are the biggest international competition of them all so I always get excited when the Olympics come around, doesn't matter if it is winter or summer. And again, I don't watch all of the events but I love following along with the medal counts and watching some of the events throughout the games, even the ones I know nothing about like curling.

Today I am excited to be participating in the Christmas in July Make Along with Underground Crafter. The make along runs the whole month of July, so we are already into week 4, and each week has a different theme of handmade holiday projects, including knitting, crochet, and sewing projects. That first post 10 years ago was pretty much just a "Hi, I'm starting a blog" post, and it was a few weeks before I actually shared a project that I made, but I'm still counting it as day one.

Summer is in full swing here and life has been a bit crazy with all of the summer activities. I have not been posting as much as I had hoped to the past couple of months. Every year as the school year winds down I think that this year will be different and I will actually be organized enough to get all of the projects I have planned done and posted despite every other part of my life being super busy. And then May arrives and there are a million end of the school year activities and then summer comes and everything that comes along with that, having kids home, trips, camps, running kids to all of their activities, and I find myself realizing that it has been almost a month since I last posted and in fact this year was not different than other and I am just as behind on getting posts up as I am every other year.
