5 Little Monsters: Dream Big Sign

Dream Big Sign

For Christmas we put together a little craft area for our oldest daughter. She loves making things and spending time in my craft room playing with all of my supplies. A month or two ago I shared part of the gift we put together for her. We put together a beginner craft kit with lots of supplies so that she could make pretty much anything she wanted without needing to get into my stuff.

In addition to the supplies we wanted to put together a little area for her to work. We decided we would get her a desk and put together a little area for her to work in part of our office/craft room. I wanted to make her area cute so I planned to put together a little gallery wall type of thing above her desk.

I gathered a few signs and canvases that I had made earlier and thought would work well for a little girl's creative area. I used my Be-You-Tiful hot mess canvas and my Make Today Amazing watercolor canvas. I painted a personalized sign that says Eliza's Craft Corner. I laid them out and decided that I still needed a little bit more.

I made a little plaque with a Korean hand sign, she is currently obsessed with k-pop bands and makes the heart sign all the time. I still wanted something more so I opened up Design Space and started looking. I had an idea of what I wanted, something about dreaming or creating. Right away I found a Dream Big image that would fit perfectly on the small square plaque I wanted to use.

I decided to cut the words out of silver vinyl and gold glitter vinyl. I painted the sign a light blue color and added the vinyl once it was dry.

How to Make a Dream Big Sign

Finished size 6" x 6"

You will need:

Instructions:

Paint the wood plaque and set aside to dry.

Open the Dream Big Design Space File. Cut the background layer from silver vinyl, and the dream top layer from gold glitter vinyl.

Use transfer tape to apply the the vinyl to the sign. Put the silver layer down first, then layer the gold on top of the silver dream.

I used a couple of Command strips to hang the sign on the wall.
