ASL Mickey T-Shirt Design

Last month our family took a trip to Disneyland. It had been a really long time since we had gone on a family vacation and it was so much fun to have that time together. Of course as we were preparing to leave I had to make some shirts for the family. I decided not to do matching shirts and instead I made everyone different shirts that I thought they would like.

Since 3 of my kids are deaf I knew I needed to incorporate ASL. I ended up making a few different designs that used ASL. The one I am sharing today is the design I used to make a shirt for my oldest son and my husband. And it just happened that we ran into Mickey the day that they wore their shirts.

For this design I started with a basic Mickey head shape. Then I cut a piece out of the middle and added hands fingerspelling M-I-C-K-E-Y in that space.
