5 Little Monsters: Pick Your Own Pumpkin Bucket

Pick Your Own Pumpkin Bucket

This summer my mom picked up a couple of these square galvanized buckets for me on clearance thinking they would work well for a project. They are actually ice buckets/beverage dispenser stands, but really any similar sized pocket would work for this project, even a wooden box. Anyway, when she gave them to me I immediately knew what I wanted to do with one of them and I have been waiting for the right season to make it.

I have collected quite a few little handmade pumpkins over the years and I thought it would be fun to make a little bucket to display them in. With a "pick your own pumpkin at the pumpkin patch" kind of design on it.

If you don't want to make a bucket to hold pumpkins, this design would also work great on a fall sign. Just put the vinyl on a wood plaque instead of a bucket.

I am sharing this project as part of the Creative Crafts- Fall Decor Edition Blog Hop so be sure to click below to see more fall decor projects.

How to Make a Pick Your Own Pumpkin Bucket

You will need:

  • Cricut machine (I used my Cricut Joy for this project)
  • adhesive vinyl in black and orange (I used Permanent Smart Vinyl)
  • transfer tape
  • a galvanized bucket or other surface to put the design on

Instructions:

Resize the design as needed to fit your surface.

Cut the design out of vinyl.

Weed the design and use transfer tape to transfer the image onto your surface.
