5 Little Monsters: Friday Five: 5 Harry Potter Cricut Crafts

Friday Five: 5 Harry Potter Cricut Crafts

I have recently been working on some behind the scenes stuff on my blog, and part of the included going through old posts and organizing and sorting them. It was fun to look back through all of the projects I have made over the past 10 years. As I was going through them I thought it would be fun to share some of those older posts more often. I want to do this in a few ways, including sharing them in emails and on social media, but one of the ways I decided I wanted to share those posts was to do a weekly roundup post. I have done this a few times in the past but not on a super regular basis. This time I want to start a weekly series. I am going to call it the Friday Five and each week I will choose a theme and select 5 posts to share that fit that theme. It could be a seasonal theme, a type of project, type of craft, anything that ties those 5 projects together. Since I will only be choosing 5 projects to feature each week I may have more projects on my blog that also fit the theme, but I thought it would be a fun way to share a few older posts each week. I chose to go with 5 because I liked the alliteration with Friday, but it also works well since it is in my blog name. So now onto the first Friday Five:

For the first Friday Five I chose to do a Harry Potter theme. Any Harry Potter fans out there know that next week, on July 31 is Harry Potter's Birthday, and pretty much where the books start. So I decided it would be fitting to share some Harry Potter projects, specifically I chose to pick 5 Harry Potter Cricut Crafts.

1- Floral Deathly Hallows

For the first Harry Potter Cricut project I chose this floral deathly hallows design. It is a design that I drew and then uploaded to Design Space to cut out. I made it into a couple of different projects, a little zipper bag with infusible ink, and a reverse canvas with iron on vinyl.

2- Platform 9 3/4 Reverse Canvas

Next I have another reverse canvas project. This one has the 9 3/4 symbol representing the platform at Kings Cross Station where you can board the Hogwart's Express.

3- Dumbledores Army T-shirt

For the third project I have a t-shirt design, the idea for this one came from book 5 when they form Dumbledore's Army. I used black iron on for most of the design, with shiny foil for the sparks at the end of the wand.

4- Deathly Hallows Sweatshirt

Number 4 is another shirt, although any of these designs could be put on anything, a bag, a canvas, anything you can think of. This one I kept really simple, just a deathly hallows symbol, but to make it more fun I used a rose gold metallic foil to make the symbol really stand out.

5- Sorting Hat Candy Boxes

For the final project in this first Friday Five roundup I have the Sorting Hat Candy Boxes. This is the only Cricut craft on the list that is not an iron on project. This one is a paper project to make little boxes that look like hats. You can fill them up with colored candies in the colors of the different houses and then use them as little sorting hats- open the hat to see which house you are!

That's it for the first Friday Five! Next week will be a new theme and five new (old) projects to share.
