5 Little Monsters: Spider Halloween Hair Bows

Spider Halloween Hair Bows

With Halloween next week I am starting to move away from Halloween projects and start working on other holidays and things I have coming up, but I figured there was time for one more quick project.

I thought it would be fun to make some quick and easy halloween hair bows. I thought spider rings would be the perfect centers for the bows, then I found these fun jeweled spider rings and decided they would be even better.

I cut the bows out with my Cricut Maker out of faux leather (the solid black bow), and felt with iron on (the orange and green bows). For the felt bows I cut the bows out twice, once out of felt and once out of iron on. Then I pressed the iron on onto the felt before assembling the bows.

For the green bow I used black felt with lime green glitter iron on to make a fun sparkly bow. For the orange bow I used Cricut's new Mosaic Iron On with orange felt, the orange showing through the little spaces between the black squares.

These cute little bows are a fun Halloween accessory for little girls and they are quick to make.

How to Make Spider Halloween Hair Bows

You will need:

Instructions:

Cut the bows out of desired materials. I like to use the rotary blade when cutting felt, though if you use Cricut brand felt you can use the regular fine point blade. The bows I made were made of the following materials:

Black Bow: cut one bow of black faux leather

Green Glitter Bow: cut one of black felt (could also use green felt to match the iron on), cut one of kiwi glitter iron on

Orange and Black Bow: cut one of orange felt, cut one of black mosaic squares iron on

Press the iron on pieces onto the felt pieces.

On both the large and small bow pieces fold the skinny ends into the center on the wrong side and glue in place.

Glue the larger bow onto the back piece, then glue the smaller bow on top of that. Wrap the center strap around the middle and glue on the back.

Clip the ring parts off of the spider ring and glue the spider to the center of the bow.

Glue a hair clip to the back of the bow (or you can glue it to a headband instead).
