It is Friday again, so time for another Friday Five. I haven't posted at all since last Friday because it has been a busy week for my family and I have been focused on spending time with them. My oldest son left on a 2 year mission for our church a couple of days ago so the past week has been busy packing, preparing for him to leave, doing a few last things as a family before he is gone for 2 years. But like I mentioned last week I have so many fall projects to share, as well as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas projects, that I don't want to miss any more weeks of Friday Five. For today I have chosen a theme that is not really halloween specific, but it could definitely be used to help make halloween costumes. Today's five patterns are crocheted hats that can be used for Halloween costumes, or you can just make them for a fun hat to wear all fall/winter!

It has been a few weeks since I have done a Friday Five, but as we are heading into the last few months of the year Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are just around the corner. I have so many patterns to share for these holidays, as well as just for the fall and winter seasons- like hats and scarves, etc., that even sharing 5 of them every Friday there will be lots that don't make the cut. One of my favorite fall crochet projects is crocheted pumpkins. I love making them with different stitches to give them interesting texture. It kind of gives me a sweater type vibe, cozy and perfect for cool fall days. I have lots of crocheted pumpkins on my blog and they use a variety of different stitches, some worked in rows and others in the round. Both ways are very simple and are easy to adjust to make different sizes.

Life has been super busy lately and I have had a really hard time finding time to crochet or make other craft projects. When I am in that situation I really start to miss making things but also find it can be kind of hard to get started again. I love finding simple projects that I can finish quickly to help me feel that satisfaction that comes with making something. This simple project fit the bill perfectly.
