5 Little Monsters: Friday Five: 5 Christmas Decor Projects

Friday Five: 5 Christmas Decor Projects

Today is Friday, which means it is time for another Friday Five. This is one of those times that I kind of regret doing the Friday Five theme with only 5 projects, because I have way more than 5 projects that fit in this theme and it was really hard to choose which ones to include on this list. I wished I could either add more than 5 to the list or have more weeks until Christmas so I could break it into multiple weeks either by craft or by project type, but Christmas will be here in just a few week and I don't have time for that.

Christmas Decor Projects

I have a lot of Christmas projects on my blog, and a lot that fall in the decor category. I tried to choose a variety of different kinds of projects and a variety of different craft types. There is a sewing project, a couple of crochet projects, and a couple of Cricut projects. A few things you could set on a shelf, and others that you wouldn't. This is just a small selection of the Christmas projects you can find on my blog.

1- Easy Fleece Tree Skirt

For the first project on this list I decided to go with my Easy Fleece Tree Skirt. This is a sewing project, but there is only a little bit of sewing. The outside edge is knotted like a tied fleece blanket.

2- Crocheted Cone Christmas Trees

Next I chose a crochet project, these little cone Christmas trees can be made in different sizes and they look cute sitting on a shelf with other Christmas decor.

3- Chalkboard Christmas Sign

The next project I chose was a chalkboard sign I made with my Cricut and some white vinyl. I have several Cricut made Christmas signs, in fact I almost changed the theme to that. This one is one of my favorites, I think the design is fun and I love the look of the black chalkboard for the base combined with the white vinyl.

4- Scandinavian Snowflake Pillow

The next project I decided to include on the list is a crocheted pillow. I have a few Christmas pillows on my blog, that was another theme I debated choosing for this week, but since I went with a general decor theme instead I felt like I could only choose one pillow to include and I went with this crocheted option. It is made with a corner to corner block stitch.

5- Joy to the World Ornament Sign

Last but not least I decided to include a second "sign" type project made with my Cricut. This one is a kind of unique because instead of using a square or rectangle, or even a plain circle, for the base of the design I used a chunky wood cutout that looks like a Christmas ornament. I painted it and added vinyl words to the front.

I hope you enjoy these Christmas Decor projects. Come back next week for a new theme and another 5 projects!
