5 Little Monsters: Friday Five: 5 Crocheted Christmas Ornaments

Friday Five: 5 Crocheted Christmas Ornaments

It is Friday again, which means time for another Friday Five. Since Christmas is less than a week away this will be the last Friday Five that will be Christmas themed. I had actually planned this theme for last week but I ended up getting sick and not getting the post up, but I think it is actually a really good last minute Christmas theme since they are all small projects that don't require a lot of time to make. The theme for the final Christmas themed Friday Five is Crocheted Christmas Ornaments.

Crocheted Christmas Ornaments

I have a lot of Christmas ornaments on my blog, using a variety of different craft types, but there are quite a few that are crocheted. For this roundup I decided to focus on crocheted ornaments. As usual these are only some of the crocheted Christmas ornaments you will find on my blog, but I tried to share a variety of different styles of ornaments. Some of the ornaments that I included on this list I have made multiple ornaments in a similar style that could be a set and although I only include one as part of the list I will include links to some of the others as well.

1- Snowman Bauble Ornament

First I have this set of Snowman Bauble Head Ornaments. They are little snowman head ornaments, each starting out as a white ball with eyes (I used safety eyes) and a little carrot nose. Then there are 2 choices for what they are wearing on their heads, one with a little winter hat with a pompom on top, the other wearing a little set of earmuffs.

2- Lacy Crocheted Angel

The next ornament I included on this list is my Lacy Crocheted Angel. I feel like this little angel ornament has kind of a vintage crochet vibe. It has a lacy little open stitch skirt on the bottom and is made all in one piece.

3- Santa Ornament

For the next ornament I chose my little Santa ornament. I have several ornaments that are made in this same style, a round body and a head, with little arms but no legs. I had a hard time deciding which one to include on the list, but I think the Santa was the first one I made and started the whole set. In addition to the Santa I also have a Penguin, a Soldier, a Snowman, an Angel, an Elf, and a Bear

I made these several years ago, but I still have a couple more that I would still like to make to complete the set. I hope to get them made soon and before next Christmas have all of the patterns compiled in an ebook. I hoped to get that done for this year but at this point that isn't happening so I will shoot for next year instead.

4- Iced Gingerbread Ornaments

The next ornament I decided to include on the list is these iced gingerbread cookies. These ornaments are made flat and use surface crochet and embroidery to create the icing designs on the top. There are 2 styles- trees and snowflakes, that can be decorated in any way you want.

5- Trinity Stitch Ornament

The last ornament that I am including on the list is a recent one, Trinity Stitch Ornaments. These ornaments are made to fit over a Christmas ball ornament. I just posted this pattern a couple of weeks ago, then earlier this week I posted another version that uses crossed double crochet stitches instead. Both versions are pretty quick to make so they are a great last minute project, along with pretty much all of the ornaments on this list.

I hope you enjoy these Crocheted Christmas Ornaments, I can't believe Christmas is just a few days away. I will continue to share more Friday 5 roundups with a variety of different themes, and I have some exciting projects and announcements coming up soon. Be sure to come back next week for a new theme and another 5 projects!
