It is time for the Fall 2026 Mini Amigurumi Crochet Along! Today is Day 1 of the Happy Harvest Mini Amigururmi Crochet Along. For the next 2 weeks every day except Sunday I will be sharing a new mini amigurumi pattern that fits the Happy Harvest theme, all different fruits and vegetables, and all with smiling little happy faces. For the first little happy harvest vegetable we have the Content Carrot.

Obviously the little carrot was going to be pretty short since these are all mini amigurumi, but I wanted to make my carrot a little on the chunky side so that there was plenty of room for his little smiley face. So between those two things it is kind of a short, fat carrot. He also has a little tuft of greens on top.

One thing that is kind of fun about this theme is that because they are fruits and vegetables each one will have pretty minimal pieces, unlike some of the animals and other items I have done with arms, and legs, and ears, tails, noses, beaks, etc. Some of my mini amigurumi have lots of tiny pieces to sew together. With the fruits and vegetables there are minimal parts, like in this case only 2- the carrot and the leaves on top.

I feel like there are a couple different routes you can go with colors with this crochet along, you can either go with bright colors, like a bright orange for your carrot, or you can kind of lean into the fall theme and use a warmer, deeper color palette with a more autumnal vibe. I chose to go the second route so I made my carrot more of a burnt orange color, rather than a bright orange. Funny enough though the color that I used is Red Heart Super Saver in Carrot. For the greens on top I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic in Leaf Green mostly because I had just used it in a blanket I was working on and had a tiny ball leftover that I had just finished with when I was looking for a green. If you wanted to stick with the same brand Medium Thyme would be a good option in Super Saver. I don't think Loops and Threads has a similar orange in their Soft Classic yarn.

Come back tomorrow to see what little fruit or vegetable Day 2 will bring!
