Today is Day 7 of the Spring 2025 Little Safari Mini Amigururmi Crochet Along, the beginning of week 2. In case you missed it I added an extra bonus pattern yesterday so this is actually the 8th animal in the set even though it is day 7. For day 7 I have made a Little Warthog.
One of the first things I think of when I think of African Savanna is The Lion King, so of course I had to include a Pumbaa in the set. Although there won't be a Timon to go with him because I didn't end up including a meerkat on the list of animals.
The warthog has a a flat round snout with two little tusks on the sides. He also has little ears that stick out off the side of his head, a flat mane going down his back, and a tail.
The warthog is made with the same body and style as all of the other animals and just like most of them it is just over 3" tall in its sitting position.
I decided to use 2 shades of brown for my warthog, although looking at pictures they can be more of a gray color or brownish so you can use whatever color you prefer.
Check back tomorrow to see what little safari animal day 8 will bring!
