Today starts the second week of The Bitty Blizzard Crochet Along, it is Day 7 of 12. Today's mini amigurumi is another Little Snowman, the 3rd in the set, this time wearing a long stocking cap.

When the first little snowman was released on day one I mentioned that there would be a few throughout the crochet along. You may even have noticed a pattern, a snowman, then 2 others, another snowman, then another 2 others, and so on. The difference between each of the snowmen are their little accessories. So far we have one wearing a little beanie with a scarf, one wearing earmuffs with mittens and a scarf, and now this one that has on a stocking cap with a scarf.

The body is made the same as the other two snowmen. The arms are made the same as the first, the second snowman's arms were slightly different because of the mittens. The hat is a long hat with a little pom pom ball on the end.

Just like the other snowmen you will need white yarn for the snowman, orange for the carrot nose, and brown yarn for the stick arms. The hat and scarf you can make in any color that you want. I used 2 colors for the hat, a main color and then a contrasting color for the brim and pom pom. Then I chose a third color for the scarf. I decided on 2 shades of blue, a darker color for the hat and a lighter color for the brim and pom pom, and then a bright pink/fushia color for the scarf.

All of the colors I used for this snowman were Red Heart Super Saver just like the others in the set, but you can use any similar yarns. The little pieces like the hats and scarves are especially good for using up scraps. The color I used were- White, Pumpkin, Cafe Latte, Light Periwinkle, Light Blue, and Shocking Pink.

So far the Bitty Blizzard includes 3 Snowmen, a Mitten, a Snowball, a Polar Bear, and a Cup of Cocoa. Come back tomorrow to see joins the set for Day 8!
