5 Little Monsters: Celebrating National Outdoor Month with LEGO and a Free Cut File

Celebrating National Outdoor Month with LEGO and a Free Cut File

Did you know June is National Outdoor Month? I didn't until LEGO asked me if I would like to celebrate National Outdoor Month with them. It totally makes sense though, June is usually the beginning of summer break from school, the weather is still usually pretty decent, warm but not too hot. Basically, just a good time to get outside and spend some time outdoors.

My kids love going to the park that is close to our house or playing outside in our yard, but we also have beautiful mountains just minutes from us. I had the chance to spend some time up in the mountains last week with my son and some other little boys at a Cub Scout camp and it was really nice to spend that time out enjoying the beauty of the mountains. Even if it was with a bunch of 8-9 year old boys.

LEGO sent me a fun outdoor themed set to celebrate the outdoors this month, we got a super cute set that included a pickup truck and camper. My kids had a blast putting it together, we even sat outside on the driveway while we built it. The details inside the camper were so cute. My kids have literally spent hours playing with it since we put it together a couple of days ago. It has been so fun.

I also made a cut file to celebrate National Outdoor Month. I cut it out of brown and forest green iron on and put it on a bag, but you could put it on anything you want. I thought a bag would be fun for either carrying stuff that you are taking with on your outdoor adventure, or for kids to put all of the treasures that they find and then want mom or dad to carry for them, rocks, sticks, leaves, etc.
