I haven't done a Friday Five yet this year, the first Friday I think I just didn't get one up, and then last Friday I was in the middle of the Bitty Blizzard Crochet Along so I skipped that one. If you are new to my blog and aren't familiar with Friday Fives, they are a way for me to reshare some older projects. Each week, or I guess most weeks is more accurate, I will share 5 projects that all fit a specific theme. It may be a holiday, project type, craft type, a specific stitch, or something else that all of the patterns have in common. I have been blogging for more than 10 years so I have so many projects and patterns and last year I realized that there were a lot that I had completely forgotten about, but that I still love and wanted to find a way to reshare them. This week I decided that with Valentine's Day just around the corner I would share 5 crochet projects you can make for Valentine's Day.

Friday Five: 5 Hats to Make with Variegated Yarn
This fall/winter season has been unusually warm where I live so I haven't had many opportunities to pull out hats and scarves and all of the other winter gear, but it is that time of year. Crocheted hats are probably my favorite wearable to crochet, so I have quite a few hat patterns on my blog. I will probably share a lot of different hats in my Friday Five roundups over the next couple of months, but today I thought I would focus specifically on hat patterns that work well with variegated yarn.
Friday Five: 5 Christmas Decor Projects
Today is Friday, which means it is time for another Friday Five. This is one of those times that I kind of regret doing the Friday Five theme with only 5 projects, because I have way more than 5 projects that fit in this theme and it was really hard to choose which ones to include on this list. I wished I could either add more than 5 to the list or have more weeks until Christmas so I could break it into multiple weeks either by craft or by project type, but Christmas will be here in just a few week and I don't have time for that.
Friday Five: 5 Nativity Projects to Make
Last week the theme of the Friday Five was Advent Calendars and I mentioned that advent calendars are one of my favorite Christmas traditions. Another favorite tradition of mine is putting out our nativities. I love nativities at Christmas time. When I was a kid my mom had a special nativity set that we put out every year and I have fond memories of unwrapping each piece as we put it out each year. I love all of the different styles and types of nativities, including making some of my own.
Friday Five: 5 Advent Calendars
It feels crazy to me that it is already almost the end of November, but that means that it is advent calendar time. I love advent calendars and Christmas countdowns, they are one of my favorite Christmas traditions. Whether it is building a little LEGO figure everyday, getting a piece of candy, an ornament, a scripture, a story, or whatever else is in that little pocket, door, package, etc., or even just counting down the days on a cute calendar or chalkboard, it is just such a fun way to celebrate Christmas a little bit every day in December leading up to Christmas.
Friday Five: 5 Projects to Spread Diabetes Awareness
Today is November 14th which happens to be World Diabetes Day, a day to spread awareness about Diabetes . This is a topic that is important to me because almost 7 years ago my middle daughter, who had just turned 7 at the time, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Since then I have made a few projects for Diabetes Awareness and thought that with today being World Diabetes Day (and the whole month of November being Diabetes Awareness Month) I thought it would be a good theme for today.
Friday Five: 5 More Crocheted Pumpkins
Today is Friday, which means that in addition to today's Bewitching Bears pattern that will be released today, it is also time for another Friday Five- and with this one I mentioned a couple of weeks ago what the theme would be. Two weeks ago I shared 5 crocheted pumpkins and mentioned I would be doing a part 2 in a couple of weeks with 5 More Crocheted Pumpkins- so that is the theme for today.
Friday Five: 5 Halloween Cricut Projects
October is halfway over which means Halloween is just around the corner. Because of that I wanted to do one last Halloween themed Friday Five this week, but I wanted a collection of projects that could be made kind of last minute, that don't take a lot of time. For that reason I decided to share 5 Halloween Cricut projects today.
Friday Five: 5 Crocheted Pumpkins
It is time for another Friday Five- and today I am going to do a fall theme that could be used for Halloween or Thanksgiving, or just general fall decorations. It is also going to be more than just one part because I have a lot more than 5. The theme for this week is going to be Crocheted Pumpkins!
Friday Five- 5 Halloween Treat Tags and Favors
It is time for another Friday Five- the first one in October, so this week we are going to have another Halloween theme for the roundup. This time I decided to focus on Halloween treat tags and favor ideas and projects.
Friday Five: 5 Hats to Crochet for Costumes
It is Friday again, so time for another Friday Five. I haven't posted at all since last Friday because it has been a busy week for my family and I have been focused on spending time with them. My oldest son left on a 2 year mission for our church a couple of days ago so the past week has been busy packing, preparing for him to leave, doing a few last things as a family before he is gone for 2 years. But like I mentioned last week I have so many fall projects to share, as well as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas projects, that I don't want to miss any more weeks of Friday Five. For today I have chosen a theme that is not really halloween specific, but it could definitely be used to help make halloween costumes. Today's five patterns are crocheted hats that can be used for Halloween costumes, or you can just make them for a fun hat to wear all fall/winter!
Friday Five: 5 Halloween Amigurumi
It has been a few weeks since I have done a Friday Five, but as we are heading into the last few months of the year Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are just around the corner. I have so many patterns to share for these holidays, as well as just for the fall and winter seasons- like hats and scarves, etc., that even sharing 5 of them every Friday there will be lots that don't make the cut. That means if I want to share as many as I can I need to get back to posting them weekly. For today's theme I decided on a Halloween theme, specifically-
Friday Five: 5 Shirts for Back to School
It is time for another Friday Five. This week is the last one before my kids go back to school and it has been a really busy and exhausting week. I didn't get any of the other posts up that I had planned for this week and almost didn't even do this one, but I didn't want to miss a Friday when this is only the third week so I am getting it done. Since my kids are heading back to school next week I thought it would be fun to have this weeks theme be related to kids going back to school- specifically:

Friday Five: 5 Book Inspired Amigurumi
I have not posted this week like I had planned, my kids start school in less than 2 weeks and I think then it will be so much easier to get back in a routine of posting regularly. But since I just started the Friday Five series last week I didn't want to miss the second one. So it is time for the second Friday Five and this week the theme I have chosen is...
