Carrot Shaped Dipped Rice Krispie Treats

I'm not sure why I have carrots on my mind for Easter projects this year, but for some reason I do since this is the second carrot themed project in a row that I am sharing. Earlier this week it was a crocheted carrot bag, and now dipped carrot shaped Rice Krispie treats for a fun Easter treat.

Crocheted Donuts

My daughter asked if we could get donuts as a special treat to celebrate the first day of summer break now that all of the kids are done with school for the year, and I thought it would be fun so we ran to the store early this morning and picked up a dozen donuts. I had no idea it also happened to be National Donut Day, but it was a really fun coincidence.

Easy Valentine Treats and Tags

My 12 year old daughter was asked to teach a zoom class to some other girls her age teaching them how to make a treat of some kind. With Valentine's Day coming up she wanted to make a Valentine's treat. She ended up coming up with the idea of dipping Rice Krispie Treats in chocolate and decorating them with pink and red sprinkles. They turned out pretty cute and I thought they would be a fun little treat to give to friends so I thought I would make some easy little tags and share how we made them.

Mini Donut Christmas Treats

My kids love when, every once in a while, we buy a box of mini donuts. Sometimes we will get them as treats for a family night or part of a special breakfast and they are a hit every time.

My kids just started school this week so this past weekend we decided to have a girl's movie night, although we ended up letting the boys join in too since they were a little jealous of our movie night treats. The girls still got to choose the movie even though we let the boys join us.

One of my memory from my childhood that I have always remembered is a time when I was probably about 11 years old and one of my church leaders "kidnapped" me and the other girls in my church group, with prior permission from our parents of course, and brought us all to our house for a fun breakfast party. One of the things that I remember very clearly is what we ate. We had waffles for breakfast but instead of regular waffles with syrup we had waffle sundaes. I guess the reason the memory stands out to me is, how often as a kid did you get to eat ice cream for breakfast? It was pretty awesome.
