A few years ago I made a little Christmas Gnome with long striped legs and when I made it I thought it would be fun to make in different colors for different holidays. Like I said, that was a few years ago and I never did anything more with it, but this year I decided to make a little St. Patrick's Day gnome.

A couple days ago I shared the rainbow felt ball garland that I made for St. Patricks Day decor, but I like to hang a couple of garlands together to give a kind of layered effect. Plus I wanted something that was green to go along with the rainbow to make it more St. Patrick's Day-ish.

I have not always been a huge holiday decorator. We always decorate a lot for for Christmas, and some for fall/Halloween, but I haven't always done much for other holidays like Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. Then at the beginning of this year I was working on some Valentine projects and I decided I wanted to get and/or make some stuff to decorate my mantle because I wanted to be able to stage some pictures of the projects I was working on.

Over the last year and a half or so I started making some crocheted teddy bears dressed up for different holidays. I thought it would be really fun to make some for all of the holidays and seasons, but so far I have only gotten a few done. I decided maybe it was time to get around to making another, and with St. Patrick's Day coming up in a few weeks I thought a little leprechaun bear would be fun.

St. Patrick's Day is this week so we pulled out our bucket of Perler Beads this weekend to make some fun St. Patrick's Day crafts with the kids. Anytime I am looking for a kid craft that will keep my kids busy for a long time I turn to the melty beads. 

Super Simple Crocheted Clovers

With St. Patricks Day coming up I wanted to make some little clovers, or shamrocks, I don't really know what the difference is between the two. I wanted some that were pretty small so they could be attached to a hair clip or a headband or pinned onto something. They aren't the most detailed crocheted clovers you can find, if you want the little heart shaped leaves than these aren't what you are looking for, if you want a really easy, fast, small 3 or 4 leaf clover than you should try these out.
