I cannot believe it is already May. This year seems to be flying by, but maybe that is just me. But a new month means another Team Creative Crafts collaboration. I really enjoy these challenges because it forces me to come up with something that I would probably not otherwise think to do. This month's theme is Tie Dye.

We are at week 3 of the 9 weeks of Summer Camp Craft Saturdays. So far we have done friendship bracelets, and painted rocks. One of the camp crafts I wanted to be sure to include in this series was tie dye. But since I have a few tie dye projects on my blog already, I kind of wanted to try something I hadn't done before.

Tie-Dye Baby Onesies

A couple of weeks ago when we tie-dyed masks I had some dye left in the bottles and didn't want it to go to waste so I looked around to see what else I had that I could tie-dye. I happened to have a package of white onesies that I had picked up one time when they were on clearance for really cheap. I thought they would be good to have on hand for iron on projects, and had used a few for that, but I figured they would be fun to dye as well.

Tie-Dyed Pillow Tutorial

A few months ago I attended Snap Conference here in Salt Lake and I had the opportunity to meet lots of sponsors and try out some of their products. After Snap one of the sponsors, I Love to Create, sent me a giant tie-dye kit. My kids were super excited when they saw it and they wanted to tie-dye some shirts right away. I really wanted to use it to make something else, shirts just seemed too obvious and I wanted to try something different. Although the truth is, we used 3 bottles of dye out of the 20  I had so I am sure we will probably end up making t-shirts at some point. Recently I have had the opportunity to start working with another company I met through Snap, Fairfield World, and they sent me some of their product to use in some of my projects. One of the things that they sent me were some pillow inserts. That gave me the idea to try making some pillow covers for them using the tie dye.
