One of my memory from my childhood that I have always remembered is a time when I was probably about 11 years old and one of my church leaders "kidnapped" me and the other girls in my church group, with prior permission from our parents of course, and brought us all to our house for a fun breakfast party. One of the things that I remember very clearly is what we ate. We had waffles for breakfast but instead of regular waffles with syrup we had waffle sundaes. I guess the reason the memory stands out to me is, how often as a kid did you get to eat ice cream for breakfast? It was pretty awesome.

It is the time of year when we want to give little gifts to all of the people who touch our lives, friends, neighbors, teachers, etc. I always like to try to make something, sometimes a little homemade Christmas treat, sometimes a small handmade gift. One of my favorite treats to make is a candy that my family often makes at Christmas time called Almond Bark Candy, and if I am going the non edible route Christmas ornaments are some of my favorite gifts to give because they are small and usually pretty easy to make multiples of.
