5 Little Monsters: Puff Stitch Stripes Blanket

Puff Stitch Stripes Blanket

Today I am excited to be joining the Puff The Magic Stitch Free Crochet Pattern Blog Hop,  featuring 16 designs from different crochet designers, each starring the puff stitch. Each of the patterns is available for free on the designers websites.

And the excitement doesn't end there. WeCrochet was kind enough to sponsor the blog hop and provide each of us with the yarn we needed to make our projects, and they are giving all of it away to some of you! There will be 5 winners and each one will receive the yarn needed to make 3-4 of the projects. Keep scrolling to get all of the giveaway details.

For my project I really wanted to make a blanket. I actually got the idea for this blanket after making a hat with a similar design, and this was the perfect opportunity to make it!

The Puff Stitch Stripes Blanket is a baby size blanket and is made by alternating sections of plain double crochet, with rows of puff stitch. In addition I also did two different colors of yarn for the puff stitches. I got this really cool speckle yarn for the background. I wanted something fun, but also kind of a neutral color and this fit the bill perfectly. Then I chose two coordinating colors from the speckle colors, which in this case were blue and teal, and then alternated those to make my puff stitch sections.

Be sure to check out all of the awesome designs below and don't forget to enter the giveaway so you can win the yarn to make some of these projects for yourself.
