5 Little Monsters: Sunset Kisses Circle Scarf

Sunset Kisses Circle Scarf

Last month I got a KnitCrate subscription box in the mail, part of their knit and crochet club subscription, and in it I received 2 skeins of bulky weight Alpaca/Tencel yarn in a gorgeous red color. With the subscription box you get one knit and one crochet pattern to make with the yarn you receive, but I thought it would be fun to come up with my own pattern to make with the yarn.

The bulky weight made for a soft and squishy yarn, and I knew it would be great for a scarf. I decided on a circle scarf that is just long enough that it can be wrapped twice around the neck, or it can be worn long wrapped just once.

The name of this colorway was Setting Sun and the stitch that I used uses a combination of crossed stitches and clusters that kind of reminded me of X's and O's, so the name Sunset Kisses came from a combination the color of the yarn that I used and the stitch pattern.

It is an easy repeat stitch pattern that works up really fast, the bulky weight yarn and large hook help with that. It is perfect for a quick fall project.

If you have ever wanted to try a yarn subscription box you can try a KnitCrate box for free ($40 off which covers the cost of the box, you just pay shipping) with my code 5LITTLEMONSTERS (the box I got was the knit and crochet monthly box), or if you just want the yarn used in this project you can use the same code for 20% off of an item.
