12 Days of Crocheted Stocking Stuffers

DAY 7

It is Day 7 of the 12 Days of Crocheted Stocking Stuffers and today is hat day. I chose a really basic hat pattern to kind of stick with the quick and easy theme.

Even though I decided I wanted to keep it really simple with this hat pattern, I also wanted it to be cuter than just a plain double crochet beanie. To give it a little something extra I worked a post stitch ribbing around the bottom.

I also added faux fur pom poms to the top of my hats but you could leave those off if you want. I think it is a fun finishing touch but obviously it is totally optional and looks just fine without the pom poms.

I also made both an adult and child size of the hat. I really wanted a hat that would work for just about anyone on your list. The style is simple enough that it can work for boys or girls, and with the 2 sizes you can make it for children or adults.
