12 Days of Crocheted Stocking Stuffers

DAY 4

It is Day 4 of the 12 Days of Crocheted Stocking Stuffers, and today's project is for the little girls in your life. This is another really quick project that is great for using up scraps of yarn.

Crocheted bows are super easy to make and can be used as embellishments for lots of projects, but today as s stocking stuffer project I am using them as hairclips.

You can make them out of any yarn, thicker yarn will make a bigger bow, thinner yarn will make a smaller bow. Since the bows are made from a simple rectangle, you could also easily change the size of the bow by simply adjusting the number of stitches and rows used.

I decided to make a set of 3 bows. I added a metal hair clip to the back of each bow and then made a card to attach them to so that they looked like a nice set.

The rectangle is made by working the stitches in the back loop to give it some texture. The center is made by wrapping yarn around several times. Each bow can be made in a matter of minutes so you can make a whole set in no time at all.

How to Make Crocheted Hair Bows

Make the card

Cut the card out of cardstock using the Hair Bow Card Design Space File, using the Cricut pen to write the words.

The finished card is 4" x 7" with 1/2" slits to clip the bows through.

Clip your bows onto the card and it is ready for gifting.
