Today is the second to last day of the Halloween themed mini amigurumi crochet along, day 11. Today's little amigurumi is a little less Halloween-y than most of the others in the set, but something I sort of associate with fall and halloween time, a a sweet little Caramel Apple.

When I was planning the items to include in the crochet along I was a little worried this one wouldn't be Halloween enough but I wanted to include another sweet treat type thing, in addition to the candy corn. It came down to a piece of candy or a caramel apple and I just thought a caramel apple would be cuter.

I left my apple plain, but if you wanted to add more of a Halloween touch to it you could add little stitches in Halloween colors to make sprinkles. I considered doing that but I decided I preferred it plain. You could also decorate in other ways, make long white chains like for the mummy and wrap them around for a drizzled apple, or add stitches in a lighter tan color for nuts. Anything you can think of really.

The apple is made in 3 pieces- the caramel covered apple which is all one piece, just switching colors part way through, the stick, and the little splat of caramel underneath. You can leave the splat off if you want and it is still cute, I just thought that make it look a little more like a dipped apple since the caramel always pools a little at the bottom of the apple as it sets up. Just like all of the others, the little apple has a sweet little smiling face for extra cuteness.

    1. It will be. I have been having a website issue today that caused that post to be unpublished. I am working on getting it back up and hopefully it will be soon.
