Today is Day 6 of the Woodland Christmas Mini Amigurumi Crochet Along which means we are halfway done. Just a quick reminder that there will not be a new pattern released tomorrow, on Sunday, the next pattern will be released Monday 11/27. Today we are adding a little bird to the set, the Wintry Robin.

The little robin red-breast joins the bunny, mouse, and fox in the little set of forest animals. It is all ready for winter with its little pair of earmuffs to keep it warm.

The body of the robin is made in a very similar way to the other animals but with slightly different proportions. The other animals have a skinnier body and slightly larger head, but with the robin the body is larger and the head is smaller. It has a little tail in the back, wings on the sides, little feet, and a teeny tiny little beak, as well as a red patch on its belly.

The earmuffs are made by crocheting two round pieces for the muffs, sort of like a flattened ball, then making a little head band piece that connects them.
